- Discuss the referral face-face with the Liaison Psychiatry Team in the Emergency Department each morning at 08:00. The Liaison Psychiatry Team will attend the ED at this time

- Contact any member of the Liaison Psychiatry Team by telephone:

- Alcohol & Drug Mis-use: Liaison CNS. 087-2792687
- All other mental health issues: Liaison Doctor 087-0537620 / 087-2891319
- Do not send an electronic referral from the Emergency Department.The only exception to this: is adult patients in CDU being referred to Alcohol and Drug Liaison during normal working hours. The CDU CNM/nursing should make an electronic referral on iCM in addition to discussing with the Liaison CNS)
Adult (18+) Out of Hours:

Child (<18) Mon-Fri (09:00-17:00):
- Discuss the referral with the Child Psychiatry Registrar who will contact the Emergency Department at the current times of approx. 8.30am and 12pm. Registrar is on-site in office hours either in CUH or MUH
- Otherwise contact Child Psychiatry via switchboard
