- Something to clean the skin
- Scalpel
- ± Tracheal spreader
- Bougie
- 6.0 ETT
Potential Complications
- Inadequate oxygenation / ventilation
- Haemorrhage and haematoma
- Aspiration of blood
- Creation of a false passage
- Oesophageal or tracheal laceration
- Surgical emphysema
- Laryngeal stenosis
- Cellulitis
- Vocal cord paralysis
