Background
- Tinzaparin is a LMWH used for the treatment (and prophylaxis of) DVT and ischemic complications of unstable angina & NSTEMI
- Administered as subcutaneous injection
Dose
Green prefilled injection for doses of 15,000 (0.75mL)and 16,000 (0.80mL).
Brown prefilled injection for doses of 11,000 (0.55mL) and 12,000 (0.60mL).
Orange prefilled injection for doses of 6,000 (0.30mL) 7,000 (0.35mL) and 8,000 (0.4mL).

Concomitant treatment with oral anticoagulants is usually started immediately. Treatment with innohep® should be continued until therapeutic oral anticoagulant effect has been achieved (INR 2.0 to 3.0), usually within 5 days. The average duration of innohep® treatment is 7 days.
All patients with renal impairment treated with LMWHs should be monitored carefully. Consideration of dosage adjustment in patients with severe renal impairment should be undertaken.
